The increase in the country’s population since the war ended has already presented a major challenge to the country’s economic growth, with profound implications on housing availability and access, especially by the poor and other vulnerable groups. Since most of this population have a high preference for urban areas, it has created a classic problem of housing demand, affordability and adequacy in cities and towns.
